A review of cohabitation law in Scotland

The first publication in our Aspects of Family Law project, a Discussion Paper on Cohabitation, is published today. The Discussion Paper focuses on sections 25 to 28 of the Family Law (Scotland) Act 2006 and considers, in particular, the definition of “cohabitant” and the law relating to claims for financial provision on the breakdown of a cohabiting relationship.
