Discussion Paper on Damages for Personal Injury

The Scottish Law Commission has published a Discussion Paper on Damages for Personal Injury today.

The Commission announced in our Tenth Programme of Law Reform (February 2018) that we would examine the law of damages to determine whether the law was fit for purpose in today’s society, or whether it was in need of clarification or reform.

The Commission is very keen to hear from everyone with an interest in the issues raised in the Discussion Paper. The consultation is open for comments until 15 June 2022.
