Judicial Factors bill to be introduced

We welcome the announcement in the Scottish Government’s Programme for Government of an intention to introduce a judicial factors bill in 2023-24.  This is designed to implement the recommendations in our 2013 Report on Judicial Factors and will bring beneficial modernisation to this area of the law.  It will be the third SLC bill to be introduced in the current session. 

We also welcome the fact that officials within the Government will begin detailed work on three further areas on which we have reported: cohabitation; termination of commercial leases; and contract.
