SLC holds workshop on Consumer Contracts in Scotland
13 Oct 2020
The Scottish Law Commission held a virtual workshop on Thursday, 8 October to allow an opportunity for stakeholders to discuss the Scots law implications of current proposals by the Law Commission (England and Wales) for the reform of the law of sale of goods. These proposals are currently the subject of a public consultation which closes on 31 October 2020.
The event was well attended by legal and insolvency practitioners as well as representatives from the accountancy profession and the academic community.
The Scottish Law Commission are very grateful to our colleagues in academia who delivered presentations on the proposals, and to everyone who took the time to attend the event for contributing to a thought-provoking discussion. We have prepared the following note of the discussion at the workshop to assist anyone who is interested in responding the Law Commission’s consultation.
