Succession (Scotland) Bill introduced

On Tuesday 16 June 2015 the Scottish Government introduced the Succession (Scotland) Bill into the Scottish Parliament.  The text, and that of the accompanying documents, can be seen here: http://www.scottish.parliament.uk/parliamentarybusiness/Bills/90123.aspx.  This Bill implements a number of the recommendations in our 2009 Succession Report, and will be the second Bill to be considered for the new Parliamentary process implementing Scottish Law Commission Reports.  The Bill covers a number of technical aspects of the law of succession, and the Scottish Government intends to consult in the near future on the other recommendations in our Report.
