The Commission and Glasgow University Law School collaborate on law reform: the Commission publishes a research paper by Dr John MacLeod
23 Aug 2018
The Commission has published on our website a research paper on enforcement of heritable securities by Dr John MacLeod, formerly of the University of Glasgow and recently appointed to the University of Edinburgh.
Dr MacLeod's research for the Commission was carried out further to the Memorandum of Understanding between the Commission and the Scottish Law Schools. The Memorandum provides the framework for enhanced joint working between the Commission and the academic community. It facilitates the engagement of academics so as to allow them to contribute to our project work by means of their research and other expertise. Academics can thereby use their expertise to influence the law reform process and demonstrate how their work has a direct impact in the development of new laws.
Further news about the Memorandum is here.
The research paper can be downloaded from the heritable securities project page here.
